Hemming (HEM) is a process in which the exterior edge of panel get wrap up with the interior edge. However, the joint strength of hemming process is weaker than the welding process. Therefore, in order to improve the joint strength, it is necessary to spread adhesive between the mating surfaces of interior & exterior panel and precede it for curing.

There are four Hemming production lines in COC. In order to co-operate with customer for his model development, new automation equipments has been introduced. These equipments will enhance the efficiency of spot welding & sealing process. The parts manufactured in hemming lines are Hood, Front rear door, Back rear door, Back lid and many exterior parts of panel.
